This is a kids haircut salon. It's a cute idea but the haircuts are very expensive for the quality. I took my kids there because it was the only place they didn't argue about, they enjoyed playing the video games there. After every hair cut I had to trim them up a bit at home as the stylist always seemed to miss some very big long strands of hair. They offer glamour girl birthday parties as well. My daughter was turning 9 and it seemed like a really cute idea so we paid a deposit and reserved a party. They said they would call the day before the party to verify how many girls. We didn't get a call (should have been my 1st warning flag). Spent all day the day of the party getting ready, bought an expensive cake, balloons, goodie bags (all the things I was required to provide). We showed up 15 minutes early and found the place closed. We waited 45 minutes hoping someone would show up, no one did. While waiting we found out from other businesses near by that other people had been showing up all through out the day, people who had haircut appointments. They also found the place closed and had not receive any call that their appointment had been cancelled. Then our cake collapsed in the car, had the heater on high trying to keep a lot of kids warm whie we waited hoping someone would show up, the balloons popped, there was no party. At that late of a time on a Saturday evening there's no way to have an unplanned party anywhere. My daughter's birthday was ruined, all the girls were very disappointed and all the parents were shocked and angry that a business would behave in such a manner. The owner called the following evening while we were grocery shopping to see where I was, the cellphone was in the car so they left a message which I got at about 8 pm that evening. She pretended like she thought the party was Sunday, however she didn't call Saturday which would have been the day before to confirm the number of girls coming as she said she would so I really doubt she thought it was Sunday either. I think she just blew us off. I requested reimbursment for my party expenditures for the party they agreed to have for us, expenditures which would not have been made without the agreement. After about a month I got a personal check from the owner with my name spelled wrong, mailed to the wrong address for just the deposit I paid. She said she wasn't responsible for anything more than that and kept reminding me that she did apologize like that is all it takes to make this situation better. I think a business needs to do more than apologize when they make a huge mistake like this.
I'm not sure why BBB rates them an A-, it shows she paid my full deposit back but that's not what I was actually owed... I'm out all the money I spent on the stuff I was required to bring to the party and my daughter's party was ruined.
